The Caminemos por Vida Walk will take place on September 16th, 2012 from 9am to 3pm. Our goal is to raise $50,000 from sponsored walkers who will do an easy 3 mile course through Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. Participants will be asked to walk in honor of or in memory of someone affected by cancer.

Circulo de Vida (CDV) is the only organization in the San Francisco Bay Area providing comprehensive, ongoing cancer support in Spanish to Latinos diagnosed with cancer and their families. CDV has served nearly 5,000 cancer patients and their families, and has significantly impacted Bay Area Latinos living with the consequences of a cancer diagnosis. CDV staff works with the entire family system, emphasizes personal contact, and tailors the intensity and frequency of the support to the patient's needs. CDV has also served as a launching pad for a discussion within the medical community about the unique needs of this population.
